1. Service Overview

Private Blood Tests London ("we", "our", "us") provides private diagnostic blood testing services from our CQC-registered clinic at 20 Old Brompton Road, South Kensington, London SW7 3DL. Our services are self-referral and do not require a GP referral.

2. Eligibility

To use our services, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age (or have parental/guardian consent if under 18)
• Provide accurate personal and contact information
• Have capacity to consent to the requested tests
• Attend the clinic for sample collection (we do not offer home visits)

3. Booking & Appointments

3.1 Making a Booking

Appointments can be booked online through our website or by calling 020 3475 9389. By completing a booking, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and confirm that all information provided is accurate.

3.2 Appointment Attendance

Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you need to reschedule or cancel, please contact us as soon as possible. We reserve the right to charge for missed appointments without adequate notice.

3.3 Test Preparation

Some tests require specific preparation (e.g., fasting). It is your responsibility to follow any preparation instructions provided. Failure to prepare correctly may affect test accuracy and could require rebooking.

4. Pricing & Payment

4.1 Pricing Structure

• All prices are displayed in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable
• Test prices are as displayed at the time of booking
• A £50 phlebotomy fee applies per clinic visit (not per test)
• Multiple tests booked for the same appointment incur only one phlebotomy fee

4.2 Payment

Payment is required at the time of booking or at the clinic before sample collection. We accept major credit/debit cards. All payments are processed securely.

4.3 Refunds

Refunds may be issued at our discretion if cancellation is made with reasonable notice and before sample collection. Once a sample has been collected and sent to the laboratory, no refund will be issued. If a test cannot be completed due to laboratory issues, we will offer a refund or rebooking.

5. Sample Collection & Analysis

5.1 Phlebotomy

Blood samples are collected by our NMC-registered nursing staff using standard venipuncture techniques. While our team is highly experienced, minor discomfort, bruising, or rarely, other complications may occur.

5.2 Laboratory Analysis

Samples are analysed at UKAS-accredited laboratories (ISO 15189). While we use gold-standard methodologies, no test is 100% accurate. Results should be interpreted by a qualified healthcare professional.

5.3 Turnaround Times

Estimated turnaround times are provided on each test page. These are typical times and not guaranteed. Laboratory processing times may occasionally vary due to factors outside our control.

6. Results Delivery

• Results are delivered securely via our patient portal
• You will receive email notification when results are ready
• Results include reference ranges for interpretation guidance
• We do not provide medical interpretation or advice on results
• Abnormal results should be discussed with your GP or healthcare provider

7. Confidentiality

All test results and personal information are strictly confidential. We will not share your results with your GP, employer, insurance company, or any third party without your explicit written consent. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

8. Limitations of Service

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 999 or attend your nearest A&E department immediately.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We provide test results "as is" from our laboratory partners
• We are not liable for any decisions made based on test results
• We are not liable for delays caused by laboratory partners or circumstances beyond our control
• Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant service

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate personal and medical information
• Follow test preparation instructions
• Attend scheduled appointments or cancel with reasonable notice
• Consult a healthcare professional for interpretation of results
• Seek appropriate medical attention for any health concerns

11. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Private Blood Tests London or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
